The Day Before
We’ll be at Lusty Glaze Beach in the afternoon and evening on Friday 4th September and would love for you to join us.
If the sun’s out, we’ll be swimming, snacking and chilling during the day, then having some drinks in the evening.
Feel free to pop by anytime - we’d love to catch up before the big day.
-
Please note there are 133 steps down to the beach. If you’ll need any assistance, just let us know in advance.
Don’t worry though, there are resting spots every 10–12 steps if you’d like to take it at your own pace.
Lusty Glaze Rd, Newquay TR7 3AE
-
Parking is available at the pay-and-display car park at the top of the beach.
-
We’ve spent many hours on the M4 and M5, so take our word for it, Friday daytime traffic is always bad! If you can, we’d suggest avoiding those hours by travelling either early in the morning or later in the evening.
-
There are plenty of accommodation options within walking distance of the venue. If you need any help finding the right place to stay, just let us know - we’re happy to help!
-
Uber doesn’t operate here sadly, so please make sure to pre-book any taxis you’ll need. A few local numbers are:
A2B: 01637 877777
123 Taxi: 01637 851234
Carminow Cabs: 01637 850000
Go 2 Cabs: 01637 222888
Coastline Travel: 01637 860006
-
Please arrive at 12pm. The beach will be closed to the public on the day, so arriving on time means you’ll be able to get in smoothly and settle before the ceremony.
The ceremony will begin at 1pm, and we’ll be celebrating right through until the party wraps up at 11pm. If you’re booking a taxi, just allow a little extra time to make it up the 133 steps to the top!
-
Our vibe is smart casual.
Ladies: Summer dresses are perfect (and since we’ll be on the sand, wedges or flats may be more practical than heels).
Gents: Chinos/smart shorts and flip flops are absolutely welcome - no need for a full suit!
We’re hoping for plenty of sunshine, but it may be worth bringing an extra layer just in case.
-
We feel so lucky to already have everything we need, and the biggest gift is having you celebrate with us so please don’t worry about gifts - your presence is more than enough.
(Plus, if we come home with any more glassware, Martin will divorce me on the spot!)
